Using Kaiser’s calculator rates, glasswool ceiling insulation costs $12–$20 per m² installed, polyester ceiling insulation costs $20.70–$28 per m², and polyester underfloor insulation costs $15.50–$24 per m². All figures are in NZ dollars and include GST.

The range depends on the selected product and R-value. Optional services are added only when selected. These are Kaiser calculator rates for budgeting; your confirmed quote depends on the property and agreed scope.
For an area of 100 m², the calculator gives the following example estimates. These include GST and installation, with removal work and a ground moisture barrier excluded.

Adding a ground moisture barrier over 100 m² adds approximately $750–$1,000. The calculator multiplies the selected rates by the entered area and adds your chosen extra services. For a combined ceiling and underfloor estimate, it uses that same area for each.

Yes. You can use it for an initial budget elsewhere in New Zealand. The calculator uses the same base rates for each region. Kaiser is Auckland-based and also travels to surrounding regions. Contact us to confirm availability and any travel costs for your property.
Enter the area that needs insulation in square metres, not the size of your section. The calculator accepts 20–300 m² and uses the entered area for every selected service. If your ceiling and underfloor areas differ, calculate them separately and avoid counting the same extras twice. For larger jobs or partial coverage, ask us to confirm the quantities.
No. It prices the R-value you select. It does not determine the right insulation specification or certify Healthy Homes compliance. If you are unsure what your home needs, ask us before choosing a product.
No. This tool estimates the installed cost. DIY pack quantities depend on the measured area, the coverage per pack for the chosen product, and allowances for cuts and waste.
