Renovating is the perfect time to add insulation - especially into walls, since they can only be insulated with batts when the framing is exposed. We work closely with homeowners and builders to install insulation at the right stage of the build or renovation - whether it’s retrofitting wall underlay and adding wall batts before re-lining, or fitting new ceiling/underfloor insulation as a standalone upgrade.

FAQ's

What materials do you work with?

Pretty much everything, from cost-effective to premium options. Eliment, Earthwool and PinkBatts are glasswool options while we use GreenStuf and Mammoth polyester products.

Polyester vs. glasswool?

In a new build/renovation context glasswool products are mainly specified as there is there is a huge number of options across different types and R-values (how well insulation performs). Polyester is becoming increasingly prevalent but is often cost prohibitive. We often encounter clients that have energy efficiency, acoustic, air quality, etc. concerns. Please get in touch for advice.

I have acoustic concerns?

Insulation has good acoustic properties. For the best results, insulation should be installed as part of a system, e.g. noise reduction system or similar. Speak to your builder.
